Choosing the right puppy for you

Education & Support — Before and After Placement

We believe responsible placement starts with honest conversations. We take time to educate families on what Doberman ownership truly requires—training, structure, exercise, and long-term commitment. We’re always happy to answer questions, and we provide guidance to support new owners as they grow with their dog.

Ethical Screening & Responsible Placement

Our process is designed to protect the puppy—not just complete a sale. We use an application and screening process because we care where our puppies go. In some cases, we may decline an application if we feel the timing or environment isn’t the right fit. Our goal is never “most homes.” Our goal is the right home.

A Program Built on Stewardship

We love this breed deeply, and we take our role seriously. Our dogs are not products—they’re lives we’ve nurtured, protected, and prepared. We breed with the mindset of stewardship: doing what’s right for the dog, even when it’s hard, and placing each puppy with a family who will honor that same responsibility.

If you believe in purposeful breeding, lifelong commitment, and bringing home a Doberman you can build a true partnership with—we’d love to connect with you.

Adoption Process

To adopt your new puppy, interested buyers will need to email  a Potential Puppy Adoptee Questionnaire, allow time for Application Review, if the application is approved, you will then  meet with the breeder either on-site or through video call. During this meeting we will discuss what you the buyer are looking for in a dog and what, as the breeder I expect from my buyers and the future life of my puppies. After meeting, to proceed forward in the adoption process, a non-refundable deposit of $300.00 is required to reserve your future puppy. Puppies will be ready to go home by 8 weeks of age. If current and available puppies are ready to go home upon inquiry, full payment is required to reserve and pick up must be within 48hrs of payment received.

We look forward to helping you find the perfect addition to your family!

Going Home

Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting journey! Puppies will be ready for their new home by 8 weeks of age. This age gives you ample time to spend bonding with your puppy and getting them familiar with their new home before any potential ear cropping surgery, which takes place between weeks 9 through 12.  We provide all the essential information to help you transition your furry friend smoothly into your family. From feeding guidelines to health tips and training advice, everything will be covered at the time of pick-up. Our goal is to ensure a seamless adjustment for both you and your new puppy!

Your new puppy

Understanding what your furry new friend will bring with him/her to their new forever home.

Pedigree

Your new puppy will come with a full pedigree, showing it's bloodline from both Dam and Sire.

Health

Dew claws removed and tails docked at 3 days old. Deworming starting at 2 weeks and continuing until they are ready for pick up. Puppies are given a full health screening and certificate of health before going to their new home.

Registered

Your new puppy will be fully registered with either American Kennel Club (AKC) or the American Canine Association (ACA), depending on the litter.

Microchipping

No puppy will leave the breeder without first being microchipped. This provides a first point of ownership, and to avoid any dog unnecessarily being placed into a shelter as a stray. (this should NEVER happen) Each puppy will have a registered owner. Microchip access and registration of new owner will be handled by either you and the breeder or the puppy's vet.

Ear Cropping (optional)

Unfortunately, we can no longer offer ear cropping  at this time.

However, If ear cropping is something you are wanting to do, here at Dobermans of ENC we can help you find a qualified vet and provide resources. Please contact us for more information on ear cropping and aftercare/posting methods.
